Outreach Ministries

Trinity's mission calls us to build a joyful community centered on Christ and fully committed to seeking the lost, feeding the hungry, serving the needy and healing the wounded.

Trinity offers a Food Pantry each Wednesday (except for the first Wednesday of each month) from 11:30am to 1:30pm. The Food Pantry opened on September 10, 1997, with one family entering for food. The average number of families that are served each time we open the door is between 90 and 95 families.

Emmaus Table - We also serve a hot meal each Thursday from 5:30P.M. to 6:30 P.M. This ministry is open to anyone wanting or needing a good hot meal and a lot of good fellowship. We have been serving an average of 35-40 every Thursday.

Memorial Terrace - Each month, 80-85 orders of groceries are taken to Memorial Terrace (Public Housing for Seniors and Physical and Mentally Handicapped People) on the second Saturday of each month. Groceries are delivered to the apartments of the people living at Memorial Terrace. Bags of groceries are packed beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Activity Building (near playground) at Trinity and delivered at 10:00 to Memorial Terrace. Volunteers are needed!

Angel Food - Trinity offers the the Angel Food Ministry to anyone interested in participating. This ministry provides food to anyone at a very reasonable rate. Menus are available at the Church each month.

Miller Elementary Partnership - In 2005, TUMC made the decision to partner with one of our neighborhood schools, Miller Elementary. A few of the ongoing programs with this partnership include a student tutoring/mentoring program, collection of needed supplies for classrooms/students, annual teacher appreciation luncheon and collection of Christmas presents for students/families at Miller. If you would like to volunteer or help in any way, please contact Margaret Mathews.
